stone me

i admit it. i'm addicted. i fought it and fought it and fought it but, like they say, admitting it is the first step towards recovery. what am i addicted to?

house.

i can't get enough of it. in fact, i can't get enough of a lot of fox network's shows. prison break? winner. 24? never watched it, but i know it's good. that 70's show? duh. arrested development? malcom? king of the hill? the simpsons (i know you're humming the tune)? heck yes to all. sure they're also responsible for so you think you can dance, nanny 911, trading spouses and cops, but if you work the tivo right, you never have to watch that crap. back to what i was saying...

i'm watching house last nite and i'm riveted. it's a great episode, season finale even. cliffhanger. so at the very end, house puts on you can't always get what you want by the stones. and it hits me: i'm excited about the new stones record. i haven't EVER been excited by a new stones record, mostly because all their classics were released before i was. i've heard it's going to be more like beggars banquet and less like bridges to babylon (yes, yes, i know...has anybody seen my baby was a good song). the raw and edgy stones, not the processed, only-releasing-records-so-they-can-sell-tickets-at-$500-a-pop stones.

i'm sure grimey's gonna be pissed, but i think i might have to go down the street during lunch and pick me up a new record. what do you guys think?

I'm way more excited about the first season of House being out on DVD than the Stones album. It's common knowledge that I'm no audiophile, but shows on DVD, count me in. I canNOT watch shows out of order, I'm OCD about that, and I will avoid broadcast so I can watch it all at once later. But I had to tune in for 3 or 4 episodes of House. I have a major crush on the doc. Not to mention that I love Sela Ward.

yeah, i've got a couple episodes of prison break (sounds like a bad 80's soft porn showtime film) dvr'd for later.

hey...is the word verification thing a major drag? i'm not getting many comments since i turned it on.

It is kind of. I turned mine off. Maybe intermittent activating of the verification will help deter the robot spam.

Word verification sucks.

But word on the street is that the new Stones record is brilliant. I'm waiting on my copy from EMI.
