a friend informed me yesterday, as i proudly sported my new pink shirt, that pink is the new black. i scoffed at his attempt to rattle my confidence in wearing color. "no," he insisted, "i'm serious. pink is the new black." as i mentally ran through the options this opens up for me in the fashion world (pink shoes, pink belt, pink pants!) i realized that i have to have a second source confirm this rumour in order for it to be true. so i'm asking the fashion-conscious masses:
is pink the new black?

Just as pink could, indeed, be the new black, your blog could be the new male version of Sex and the City. Pink is to black as Newton Dominey is to Carrie Bradshaw. Rockstar style.
Back to the case in point, seeing as black is my all-time fave, nothing can replace it. However, this season guys (and girls) can definitely pull off the pinks without shame. Pink cords to go with your pink french cuffs? The opportunities are endless. Just not hot pink. Keep it calm. For instance a pink jumpsuit might be too much at once.
I expect to see you wearing pink next time we meet.
i can meet that expectation! pink cords would be delightful. i've got a pair for every day of the week in almost all the colors, but hadn't thought about pink. i think i can complete the collection with baby blue, pink, and orange. a boy's gotta have goals, right?
