magic elixir
i ran across this little nugget of joy while killing time at kroger as the wife anguished over which whole wheat bread to buy. it was too good not to share. for your gawking and staring pleasure, may i present:
jogging in a jug
in case you can't read the big print there above johnny and janey fitness, it says:
THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE THAT JOGGING IN A JUG PROVIDES ANY HEALTH BENEFITS.
now if that's not a marketing slogan for the ages, i don't know what is.
curiousity got the better of me, so i googled it. looks like these guys have made a name for themselves...

Now that's classic.
That stuff actually originated just outside of my hometown in Alabama. Some local farmer had been drinking it for years and then decided to market it in the mid-eighties. It was all over the place while I was growing up. I had completely forgotten about it until I noticed it in Kroger's a few months back and was surprised that the company was expanding rather than going bankrupt.
By the way,it is some of the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted.
i think my parent's bought it once. i think the bottle got smaller by about 2 glasses and then stayed like that until "fridge cleaning day."
